Joe Keel is the Capital Markets Officer, accountable for managing interest rate risk, loan programs, and investor relations at Amerant Mortgage. Joe is a founding partner of Amerant Mortgage. Before that, he spent over 20 years managing Capital Markets, Finance, Post Closing, and Warehouse Lending groups in the mortgage industry. Joe graduated from the University of North Florida with an M.B.A. in Business Administration. In his spare time, Joe enjoys fitness races, snowboarding, white-water rafting, and spending time with family and friends. Joe believes that accountability is the one attribute that makes organizations great and feels there are no bad teams, only bad leaders. Joe focuses on finding make sense solutions to overcome life’s obstacles and strives to improve institutional performance at every level.
